We get it — as a homeowner, it’s frustrating to deal with any home improvement project. The first hurdle is always the cost, and it can be challenging to get any direct number. An online search might give you an article that ultimately says “It depends,” while other online tools might give your information away to third parties, overwhelming you with phone calls from a variety of contractors.

Here’s a closer look at how to use our tool:
First, enter your address. Our tool only works for homes in Michigan. Once you enter your address, you’ll see a satellite image of your home.
After entering your address, the next step is entering the slope OR pitch of your roof. Pitch/slope are important factors when calculating the cost of a new roof because they help determine labor needs, material waste, and potential safety risks.
Confirming the slope can be a little bit confusing, as there’s a bit of legwork involved if you want to get the most accurate measurement. A roof’s pitch is its vertical rise over a horizontal run, which is typically measured in inches per foot.
Most residential properties have moderate or conventional slope roofs with pitches ranging from 4/12 to 6/12. Although less common, some homes may have extremely steep slopes with pitches up to 9/12.

The price you receive from Roofle is a calculation, not a final estimate. While our tool is accurate 95% or more of the time, every roof has unique variables that influence the actual cost.
After you receive your price a representative from L&S Home Improvements will contact you the same day, if the request was submitted during our business hours, or the next day, if the request was submitted after hours, to schedule an on-site formal free inspection.
During our inspection, we identify potential variables, like wood rot, ventilation issues, and the number of existing shingle layers, that could increase the cost of your new roof.
